Sasha and Malia's School Opts for "Japanese Food" On Pearl Harbor Day

I sort of take this article as manufactured outrage, but I can see why some people might get a little touchy about it (if it were 1954 and not 2011). I refuse to take the time to do a thorough investigation, but I will say that I doubt that there are very many people who work at the school who were alive when Pearl Harbor was bombed. Today is the 70th Anniversary of the event. Chances are that even the older employees at the school don't have a personal attachment to the event (a Vietnam era event like JFKs assassination or the Tet Offensive probably resonates more with the older generation of school employees).

In other words, this is probably a simple oversight. One can certainly argue that we should make a larger effort to observe Pearl Harbor, but I am not sure that eating what really amounts to Chinese (and not Japanese) food on the day is the perceived slap in the face that some of the Freepers make it out.

Thane_Banquo is quite sure that this is a sign of Liberal hatred. Nothing says hatred quite like eating Asian food on a Wednesday in December.

Liberals love to do things like this to show their hatred for America. This is a thumb in the eye of our country. Despite all of their protestations and self-righteous claims, liberals are primarily motivated by hatred.

I’m sick and pissed off hearing about this freeloading family , how great she is but ignores how she is a fat ass hypocrite who loves to eat, how their rich kids are doing what they are eating. They go to Africa but they was never told that it was blacks selling blacks into slavery , no they were told it was nasty whites doing that.

I'm trying to figure out what size Michelle Obama really is. This article claims that she is a size 12 (but that she is damn near 6 feet tall). I'm not sure if that is in deed true. Michelle isn't small, but I am not sure if you can call her fat. Anyhow, the "Michelle is fat" is a tried and true Freeper talking point. On the other point, I'm trying to figure out how the Obama family is rich but freeloading at the same time.

Most importantly, the last talking point is technically true. Tribes in Africa were responsible for a part of the slave trade. Rival tribes often took each other prisoner and sold them to European slave traders who then brought the Africans to (mostly) the new world. Of course, manc seems to forget that if it weren't for the WHITE slave traders in the first place, there would have been no slave trade. He (or she) also fails to note that the African slave trade effectively ended in 1807, but that slavery was still legal in the United States for some 60 years. So yes, rival tribes did participate in the slave trade. However, the "nasty whites" were indeed nasty and overwhelmingly responsible for the slave trade.

I don't really care what Slasher and Malaria eat, as long as they are doing it back in Chicago where they belong.

After others in the thread told the folks making fun the girls isn't cool, LibLieSlayer steps in to rationalize why making fun of Sasha and Malia is fair game. You see, Dems made fun of the Bush girls so it is all good. Look, I don't think it is right to make fun of anyone's kids because you don't like the parents. It was despicable when Rush Limbaugh made fun of Chelsea Clinton's appearance and if anyone seriously made fun of the Bush twins, it was seriously wrong as well. I do seem to remember much of the stuff that was publicized about Jenna and Barbara were their arrests for alcohol related incidents. After that, it seemed like they were pretty much left alone. It should also be noted that for all but 10 months of their father's presidency, the girls were adults. Malia is 13 and Sasha is 10. Think about that for a moment.

They are nothing but little marxists in training. They (the dims and the state run media) did not leave Bush's daughters alone... and these two maoists are fair game. Have them kick me off FR while you are at it. I guess I am guilty as charged.

Eva and others want to turn this into a class argument. You see, Obama is rich and his kids go to a fancy private school and get good food. Yet, Obama wants wealthy folks to pay their fair share so this is hypocritical in some way. A few others chimed in about this and it is a fair point to address. Of course, these folks seem to forget that if Obama raises taxes on the wealthy, he is also raising taxes on himself and redistributing his own wealth.

The second meaning is that “fair” indicates a redistribution of wealth or opportunity that is reflective of social justice.

High Class Whore or Low Class Slut?

Welcome to Except Reality, where we like to take a look at the sick and twisted minds of the folks over at Free Republic. Thanks to folks over at Freeper Madness and Tales from the Derp Side (aka Occupy Derp Street) for the inspiration, especially the poster at Freeper Madness that suggested that "Except Reality" would be an excellent name for a blog because Freepers take exception to reality.

Our first foray into taking exception to reality is the Herman Cain saga with Ginger White. Over at The Daily Beast , Mr. Cain's accuser pretty much admits that she has used men (including Cain) for money in the past. Though it isn't exactly nice to say, I take no exception with anyone calling her a whore. If it quacks like a duck...

At the same time, it is becoming more and more evident that Cain likes to sleep with ladies other than Mrs. Cain. It was also becoming evident that Herman may have been in a little over his head. So we have whore and an adulterer that was campaigning for a job that he wasn't qualified for yet.

None of that seems to register with Sister_T. You see, it is the fault of the ruling class and Ginger White that Herman wasn't able to complete his mission:

Muawiyah thinks it is an evil plot by David Axelrod. You see, Axelrod is the bad guy and not the guy who cheated on his wife for 13 years. Oh, and Axelrod must be a sicko to come up with this stuff in the first place.

I don’t think that someone is really afraid of Herman Cain as much as they are afraid of seeing a viable conservative candidate for national office who happens to be black. The train of suspicious (often white) “other” women is a shot across the bow for any future candidates who dare stray off the plantation.

John O knows that if Cain were a Democrat, the bad boogeymen would have "taken care" of the people that knew that Herman was a serial adulterer. Where were these vile Democratic hitmen when John Edwards, Eliot Spitzer, and Anthony Weiner ran into trouble? John O is my first nominee for the "Except Reality Reality Exception" of the week award. His Truther rant at the end may get him extra points in the balloting...

Absolutely nothing because every detail of his past would be hidden by the lame stream media and everyone with any knowledge of it would have already been killed by the democrat hit men.

As evidence, please find obama's real birth certificate (I've still not seen it), or school records, or baptism records etc.

And pgkdan may take home the award for being the most realistic poster over at FreeRepublic (at least with this issue). I might take it a step further and say that I do find it slightly disgusting that many folks take the default "blame the victim" position. Many of the Freepers posted some awful things about White and somehow forgot that Cain allegedly stuck his penis in her, paid her bills, and cheated on his wife.

What I find most despicable is how many of the FREepers on this thread are so quick to employ the very same tactics that Clinton's 'Bimbo Eruption' squad employed against Gennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Kathleen Wiley and that Dolly woman. These women are all being treated as sluts or nuts!! James Carvile and Betsy Wright would be proud of the Cainiacs. Disgusting.
